Linda Vettrus-Nichols CEO of Evolutionary Healer

FWM: You are an innovative and creative, sassy-genius. Share your story.

When I was little, I loved playing school. I was Mrs. McGuilicutty. My dolls and teddy bears were my students. Special Education became my major in college.

I’ve evidently been an entrepreneur all of my life. I sold potato chips from the top of our front steps. I was the 3-and-a-half year old in the neighborhood, hollering over the traffic, “Tatoe chips, 5 cents!” over and over again…until my neighbor Joe came out and bought the whole bag for a dollar.

CANCER is my birth sign and is known as the Moon Maiden. The Mother. The Nurturer. I LOVE watching the movie Little Women. It’s my go-to movie when life gets crappy or overwhelming. If I had my period, it would still be my period movie. I love the adventurous and creative spirit of Joe Marsh. Most of all I am impressed by the mother in the movie, played by Susan Sarandon. She is a loving, patient mother who knows her girls as individuals. She truly sees who they are and lets them know she really sees them.

During Menopause, I learned that through the depths of the female psyche comes some of our greatest knowing. There are many levels and even archetypes lurking there. We can live fully present and aware of our psychic life or we can choose to be a victim of it, blaming others for our actions and reactions.

FWM: When did you decide to launch, Evolutionary Healer? Tell us about your company.

After leaving a starter marriage of 33 years and marrying the love of my life H.E. Ambassador Terry Earthwind Nichols, we entered the coaching industry in 2012 with a process that Terry had discovered and together we further developed. We were initially helping pull entrepreneurs out of self-sabotage and procrastination. Little did we know that we would be working with Veterans and their families breaking the hold of PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress. Dr. Sigmund Freud believed that what people suffered from in adult life stemmed from a traumatic event early in childhood. He was right, but he never found a consistent method to prove his theory. My husband did. Together we help our clients stop the protective emotions around an amnesic-like event from an early childhood memory.

“For me, being a global leader means having a keen understanding and respect for diversity.”

FWM: Evolutionary Healer is a global transformational performance improvement company, currently doing business in thirteen countries. What is your recipe for success?

My recipe for success is in creating a sense of family. We can’t choose our family, we can choose our spiritual family. I connect Soul to Soul with my clients. They usually say, “I love you” at the end of a call if I don’t beat them to it.

I believe and teach relationship marketing. Typically you don’t do business with the people you network with so I build solid relationships that turn into fantastic referrals. I enjoy joint ventures and chatting on the phone with other women in business.

Evolutionary Healer is an online company with four divisions: The CR Process, Earthwind Academy, Vision Strategy, and Coaching – including Book in 30 Days coaching with a unique interview process to speed things up.

FWM: What are some of the recurring themes that clients bring and how do you bring them inner peace?

My clients tend to come to me overthinking everything, as well as stress from feeling scattered and unclear about how all of the elements of their story can come together as a cohesive whole. This leaves them feeling confused, overwhelmed, and wondering if they are really cut out for entrepreneurship. I teach them how to speak from their Soul. Their message becomes timeless so they can impact the world without constantly reinventing the wheel and wondering what to say next. Inner Peace comes from shifting out of lack language like, “I have to…” to empowered language like I get to…”

FWM: You are the author of the book “WALK AT THE LEVEL OF YOUR SOUL.” Where do you believe our true power resides?

We tend to float around outside of our body. I believe that by bringing our Soul into our body is where our true power resides. In other words, combining our divinity with our humanity. I like to think about it as the fully embodied woman, perfect in imperfection.

This book is a culmination of what 60+ years of living has brought to me: my awakenings to life and business. When you walk at the level of your Soul, darkness turns to light. There is finally freedom to tap into your human-ness, yet not from a place of judgement, fear, or even grief. The Soul is the place where you consistently notice and do what is right for yourself and your situation. Our Souls are never tired, they are here to experience the experience.

FWM: What does it take to be a Global Leader?

I believe that self-awareness and inner peace are key components for any leader. Knowing my own triggers and being able to see the strengths in others, creates the opportunity for joint ventures. For me, being a global leader means having a keen understanding and respect for diversity. Having the ability to be patiently impatient and knowing that I am perfectly imperfect expands my heart and allows me to see which chapter, within the book of life, someone is functioning.

FWM: Share your vision for 2020.

My vision for 2020 comes with a celebration of writing and publishing my 20th book, my memoir. I have reinvented myself many times. I believe that inner peace for all will create world peace. COVID-19 has been a step in the right direction. The only way to survive a Stay Home order is to go within. The fact that we are all connected can no longer be denied. I was also delighted to see how the female leaders of many countries were leading the charge to keep people safe.
