House of iKons Fashion Week London Digital Show September 2020 – ‘An intimate insight into the world of our iKons’

FWM: How successful was your first virtual fashion show in September?

The feedback and responses have been positive. Our aim was to take the viewer on a virtual journey. House of iKons wanted to show ‘The Labor of Love’ behind the creations.

One viewer Kristen Brown quoted, ‘The House of iKons Digital show this September 2020 was a different experience to a runway fashion show. It was more personable and informational into the Designers and others who are involved In these Fashion shows, such as Photographers, Models, and makeup artists. You don’t get this with live fashion shows. I enjoyed the variety of presentations. It made me more appreciative of the individual Artists.’

The feedback from the ‘Fashion Industry’ and as a whole and those from outside the industry gave positive feedback, that ‘fashion and creativity cannot be stopped’ regardless of the global pandemic. The digital show can be viewed on our House of iKons YouTube Channel.

House of iKons Fashion Week London live shows have pulled in over 1,000 people perday in attendance, with private clients, buyers, department stores and boutiques, also in attendance high net worth guests.

Their designers have platformed world wide, and working with celebrities such as Jlo, Katy Perry, Michelle Obama, Beyoncé and many more which can be seen on their social media and various press. Designers have also been selected from the shows to be wardrobe design for feature films.

FWM: What surprised you the most?

Doing the digital show was surreal on so many levels. Not being able to see and meet ALL our iKons from stylists, HMUA Teams, Production, models, and our creatives broke my heart.

But how these amazing iKons came together for this digital show and presented was iKonic! My love and respect for you all is so immense I have no words. The feedback on the digital show has been amazing. We are already being contacted for press and tv channels for this show and our 2021 shows.

Share your advice on new designers venturing into fashion during the pandemic.

The main advice I can give is not to give up. Challenges are faced in every industry and daily life, this is before any pandemic. The unprecedented times we live in, we need to adapt ourselves and our business strategies. Focus on online and social media to keep brand/product/service in the public domain.

FWM: What is your mantra and how does it relate to your business?

FWM: Tell us about “Mini iKons.”  Was this the first show to feature these designs?

We are proud and honored that these amazing collections for children launched in our platform. During lock down, it didn’t stop our iKonic designers and our mini iKons. in preparation for the digital show, in early Summer of 2020 they had some amazing editorial shoots and catwalks in the park and by Buckingham Palace showcasing new designs, “Mini iKons” modeling for the digital platform.

FWM: What were you most proud of with this show?

Doing the digital show was surreal on so many levels. Not being able to see and meet ALL our iKons from stylists, HMUA Teams, Production, models, and our creatives broke my heart.

But how these amazing iKons came together for this digital show and presented was iKonic! My love and respect for you all is so immense I have no words. The feedback on the digital show has been amazing. We are already being contacted for press and tv channels for this show and our 2021 shows.

FWM: Your February show is around the corner. What is new about this show?

This year, 2020, has been a rollercoaster ride in so many ways. With preparation underway for the 2021 shows, we will be launching some amazing designers from around the world, new trends, and we are finalizing a special ‘VR’ segment which we are in discussions with a large ‘Tech’ company. A new brand, ‘Her Rise Heritage’ presented by Her Royal Highness of Madagascar, Princess Mirana, gave a beautiful and heart touching presentation on ‘ethical designs’ and how women from rural areas in Madagascar have been involved to showcase their talented craft and techniques. This is set to launch in 2021 with House of iKons.

We will make sure that 2021 will be iKonic in every day!
