It Girl Desiree Schlotz Stepping Into Her New Era

Building a new business is no easy feat, but It Girl Desiree Schlotz is taking the challenge of being CEO with grace. Along with her partner in crime Jessica Ghishan, this duo is gearing up to launch their swimwear brand, Celestial, this upcoming summer which will surely dazzle the crowd. 

Stepping into her new role, Desiree embraces the journey of becoming an entrepreneur. “I’m so blessed that I have experience with swimwear from being a bikini model for so many years,” but I’m also focusing on understanding the requirements and experience of being an entrepreneur.” – Desiree Schlotz 

Channeling her boss babe energy, Desiree makes sure that every detail in creating Celestial is done with care. From its production phase all the way to marketing the brand, she wants to craft the perfect swimwear for everyone on all occasions. The duo also emphasizes giving back to the community, so incorporating non-profit organizations is an integral part of the creation of the brand. 

Desiree and Jessica are hard at work as the launch date is in August. Other than finalizing the finishing details of the swimwear line, they are also working on their influencer packaging and planning an exciting launch party. “I’m super excited for the launch party because everyone will really be able to see the story behind our brand.”

FWM: Tell us about your partnership with Jessica Ghishan.

Jess and I have always had a very deep passion for the “unknown”. Always questioning our purpose and why we are here on Earth from when we were young. We definitely bonded over that when we first met 5 years ago. Celestial was really an idea that had lived within both of us since we had first known each other, we just didn’t realize how it would transpire until we both evolved into our own spiritual paths, as well as colliding both of our spiritual worlds together. Celestial means “belonging or relating to heaven”. We put so much love and passion into leading our day to day lives with unconditional love, ease, and flow. Our passion for spirituality, transformation, and evolution in our souls purpose was the blueprint for our brand celestial swim. Celestial swim is more than just a swimwear brand, it is a community and movement to channel the divine femininity within you and awaken your most true and authentic self. 

FWM: What have you learned over the process of building a business?

Building a business from scratch is something that is so rewarding when you truly believe in what you are building. There have been many obstacles throughout this process, but nothing that Jess and I aren’t ready to take on. We have really learned how to adapt in our environments and I have gained so much more respect for her working by her side as a business partner as well as a friend. 

FWM: What will we find in your collection?

You will find 4 beautiful pieces in the first collection. Our first collection is called the Ethereal Collection and each bikini is named after a Goddess. I bought this amazing goddess oracle deck about 3 years ago and we decided a perfect way to introduce our first collection was to name each bikini after a goddess in my card deck. I called Jess and told her this idea and we were on the phone channeling the energy of the goddess and came up with our first 4 names for our first collection. Ethereal meaning “extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world.” Each bikini will represent one of these goddesses and we are excited to shed some light and educate our community/customers on a whole new world of confident and loving energy. 

FWM: Tell us about the influencer packaging and planning an exciting launch party.

We are very excited to be sending out personalized influencer packages! We have really spent a lot of time curating the perfect box to represent our brand and to showcase our beautiful bikinis. We hope that when you open our boxes that you awaken the divinity within and get to know yourself more than ever. We are planning to have a launch party very soon! So, stay tuned.
