Paulette Jackson, Founder/CEO of SCORP Radio Network

FWM: Tell us about Ms. Music’s Voice.

Ms. Music’s Voice is just one of my ventures. Ms. Music’s Voice is my voiceover business, actually my first registered business I started a little over 10 years ago. Providing various voiceover services including radio promos and commercials.

FWM: You have recently been selected to receive the 2nd Annual Aretha Franklin Lifetime Achievement Award. What does it take to receive this success?

I was selected to receive this honor by Lamont Robinson, Founder/CEO of the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame because of my over 35 years in the Music and Entertainment Industry and many contributions and support to this industry.

FWM: You are the host of “The Classic Soul Music Café”, “The Jazz Zone” and Center Stage.” Tell us about these programs and why do listeners love them?

The Classic Soul Music Cafe was my very first show I launched 4 years ago and became very popular very quickly. The show was syndicated across the country and from that, I decided to create 2 more shows, “Center Stage”, I created exclusively for my station SCORP Radio Network to give more of a spotlight to Independent and mainstream artists.

My listeners love the shows because I put time and care into the music I select and add to the shows. The music I add to my playlists have to make sense and it comes across to my listeners, they respect that.

FWM: In this turbulent time, how are you repositioning your company?

Actually, my voiceover business has picked up. I have used this time to focus more on how even during this time, my services can be best utilized for my customers and gaining new ones via advertisements, etc. Also, cross-promotion where applicable.

FWM: You work with Artists on promotion and video creation. Share your experience and what will people notice about working with you?

I work hard for the artists I work with and once I get ideas, I move quickly.

I’m very upfront in my abilities and make sure I keep the Artist vision in mind when promoting but I also come up with ways to add my own creations to enhance marketing and promotion.

What people will notice is my passion for what I do and the care I have for the artists.

FWM: What is your mantra? How does it relate to your business?

Overall, “Integrity, Excellence and Professionalism is What We Strive For”

If I or my team can’t give our all in what we do, then I won’t take on the project (s). My business’s reputation is very important and take every step necessary to make sure my clients feel that.

FWM: Share your upcoming projects.

I’m working on my 3rd book to be released sometime in 2021. Also, working with a couple of producers on music projects, which I’m really excited about.

I also have a video series, “My Perspective”, that I’ve been working on the past few months that I’ll continue to produce on my YouTube page.
