Sophia’s life unfolds in three distinct phases: Lost of Innocence, Perseverance, and Survive and Thrive. From a childhood marred by turmoil, drug addiction, and sexual abuse at the tender age of 9, Sophia faced unimaginable challenges. By 13, she found herself entrapped in the cruel web of sexual trafficking, becoming a mother by 15 through unimaginable circumstances. The odds were stacked against her, but with the unwavering support of her grandmother, Sophia emerged from the darkness at 15, choosing not to be a statistic but a voice for those who shared her story.

Her tireless efforts earned her the esteemed “Yellow Rose of Texas Award” in 2016, the highest honor from the Governor for significant contributions to her community.
