FWM: Share your background and what led you to launch “Empower 2 Impact Foundation, Inc, the Premier Business Development Network all over the world.

I launched Empower 2 Impact because, as a businesswoman, I noticed that many women didn’t have the tools to start their businesses. My husband and I owned my business for over 18 years, and friends and associates kept asking us, how we work and home and live grand lifestyle.  I was working from home, selling supplies to the federal government. Other inquire about starting the same kind of business. I think that’s when I saw there was a need to support people, women in general who wanted to start a business. I love to see women grow and develop their own skills to become that phenomenal woman. I don’t focus on the color of their skin because women are women, and we can benefit from each other when given a chance. I’m a southern girl with big dreams, and if I can help others go after their dream and accomplish them, my work is done.

FWM: What is the cornerstone of your foundation?

Relationships are the foundation of leadership, and trust is a fundamental component of every relationship. The glue that holds an organization together is trust. Building trust from the ground up, laying the groundwork, and establishing trust at all organizational levels are the responsibilities of leaders. Building leaders is the base of our actions, and we continue to empower others as they grow and develop. In order to be a good leader, you have to have confidence.

FWM: Never in human history have there been more resources available for those who have the desire to communicate their message, serve others, and make an IMPACT. ⁣⁣ As a Faith Coach, what challenges are small businesses facing when growing their businesses and how are you guiding them to success?

The most challenging phase of the business lifecycle is the startup phase, where most businesses fail. The high demand for cash means an increased risk of underpaying yourself and your employees before they feel like moving out and growing in their careers. Other challenges during the startup phase include problems with managing cash reserves, establishing a market presence, establishing a client base, and managing expectations from sales and accounting management. The entrepreneur is tasked with establishing a customer base, improving product design, improving customer relations, intensifying marketing campaigns, and conserving and controlling cash flows. Entrepreneurs may also be forced to work many hours per week as they figure out a business model that will allow sustained cash flow, improve the ability to hire other people, and guarantee consistent growth.

My job is to help them take the stress off when things get complicated teaching them how to become leaders, not employees. That’s where “John Maxwell” come into play. As a certified John Maxwell coach, leadership plays a huge part in owning a business. If you don’t have good leadership skills, you might be working alone or having difficulty keeping people on your team. Leadership has always been one of the topics that people would try to brush off; some would even think that leadership is just for the ones meant to be leaders in terms of family background or origin. When mentioned, the administration seemed to attract charlatans, mainly within the management world. I used to feel like people were giving it negative connotations; however, I didn’t see anything mysterious about authentic leadership. A good leader seems so direct and precise than how I used to exaggerate my expectations for being a leader. The book covers perfectly well the topic of leadership.

FWM: I AM THAT WOMAN NETWORK has provided women the opportunity and environment to build their confidence and beliefs by stepping into their greatness. In honor of Women’s History Month, you will host the I AM WOMAN SUMMIT on March 4, 2023. Why is this the event of the year?

It’s more than a women’s conference, a community of women committed to helping inspire & empower women. Building relationships that last a lifetime. If you feel a lack of confidence or needing a support group, I am that woman summit is the place to be. I’ve heard testimonies of women who have come to the event, saying how their life has been changed because of what transpired at the event.

FWM: The theme of your event is “Reinvent Yourself & Your Brand.” Please take us through some of the panel discussions and networking opportunities.

Every day, people reinvent themselves to take on a new challenge, move into work that has more meaning, or dispel misconceptions that have held them back in their careers. A manager in financial services moves into retail, and a venture capitalist becomes a life coach, for example. The rebranding can sometimes be subtle, as in the case of an executive who wants to advance but must overcome the stigma of being “not good with numbers. Taking charge of your personal brand could mean the difference between a job that doesn’t give you enough satisfaction and one that does. There will discussions that will include, entrepreneurship, finance, careers, health & wealth, what it takes to become you, starting over. Many women have to start over or should I say recreate themselves.

FWM: You have received outstanding testimonials:
