Adrienne Young is God’s Mouthpiece

Adrienne Young is #GodsMouthpiece. She is a woman of many talents, beginning with being the CEO and Founder of both Adrienne Young Ministries, LLC and Remnant Warriors Global, Inc. She is a pastor, author, speaker, wife, mother and all out Warrior for God. Adrienne has devoted her life to teaching women to become who they are in Christ and giving them the guidance and knowledge to lead the life that God intended. She also brings her purpose to her community by partnering with other leaders to train and empower young women to reveal their destined greatness. Adrienne is a perfect example of Powerful, Warrior Woman of God.

FWM: Adrienne, thank you for joining me for this interview! Please introduce yourself and your ministry.

AY: I am Adrienne Young, Visionary, CEO and Founder of two organizations. God blessed me to partner with Him and my sisters to birth our nonprofit, Remnant Warriors Global, Inc. where we teach women and girls how powerful they are in God and to walk in their kingdom authority. Then there is Adrienne Young Ministries, LLC where I get be God’s Mouthpiece as a preacher, speaker, teacher, author, and I serve as an Image and Retail Consultant with other corporations.

FWM: How long have you been in ministry?
AY: Since 2009 officially. That is the year I was licensed to preach.

FWM: Has there been many obstacles for you as a woman in ministry?

AY: It is not necessarily the number of obstacles but the impact from them. Those obstacles made me grow tough skin and become more aware of who I am in Christ so that I don’t ever have to defend my call as a woman.

FWM: I know you wear many hats, Pastor, CEO, Wife, Mother, how do you balance ministry and family?

AY: There is no balance (lol). Seriously, I have learned it is all about priorities. Whomever or whatever needs my attention at the moment is what gets it. My time with God and my family trump EVERYTHING. If a ministry opportunity conflicts with something on my family calendar, 99% of the time I will say no…it was not always this way. We have family meetings weekly to go over opportunities, to pray about them, and as a family, if possible, we do ministry together.

FWM: Tell us about Warriors Arise.

AY: Warriors Arise was the name of our first conference which was held my 40th birthday weekend. Since we have arisen, we adopted Warriors United Gathering as we come together annually to join forces and be equipped for all that God has for us. This year our mandate is Women Who Roar!

FWM: What keeps you spiritually grounded?

AY: Honestly, it is serving at a small in number yet big impact church. I get to use my gifts freely at Refreshing Word Church in Fort Mill, and even though I serve in a ministry of thousands, I submit to my pastor and serve the 50 the same way. There is nothing like staying grounded when you put chairs away like everyone else! Remaining humble is imperative for me.

FWM: How is your ministry impacting women and your community? What is next for Adrienne Young Ministries in 2020?

AY: Wow. I could quote so many women and share the testimonials of whose lives have been affected by our yes, and in turn, those women are impacting their community. The most tangible way recently is our partnership with D.I.V.A.S. in training who hosts a conference each year. I was the closing speaker this year and will be this year, and our nonprofit sponsored 33 girls to attend. What is next for AYM in 2020…it has yet to be seen. All I know is many doors of opportunity will open, and my word for 2020 is Ambassador.

FWM: What is your favorite Bible verse?

AY: Luke 1:45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

FWM: What advice would you give your younger self?

AY: I know you were picked on, hated your body, and were ashamed of praising God at age 9, but God is going to use ALL of that to change the lives of thousands of women.

FWM: Please tell us about your book, Don’t Go Thrifting Without Me.

AY: When my husband and I were on government assistance, I went to Goodwill to get ALL of my maternity clothes and items for our sons. I begin thrifting, and discovered I loved it! I built a Facebook community around it of about 2,000 people and hosted thrift trips. I gave the community a way to focus on ministry, as an obedient act to the Lord, and then one night my friend read a prophetic word about writing. I felt fire hit my fingers and thought I would write a book I started on, but the Holy Spirit told me to write Don’t Go Thrifting Without Me. In days it became the number one Amazon bestseller in fashion and art. It teaches women how to thrift, what to wear, tips on the best times to go and more!

FWM: How can our readers connect with you outside of this interview?

AY: They can connect with me via Facebook at Adrienne Young Ministries, on Instagram @themrsasyoung, on Twitter @mrsasyoung and subscribe to my blog and YouTube channel!
