FWM: Tell us a little about you.

My name is Ashley K. Pittman. One of my greatest accomplishments thus far is being the mother to my two sons. My purpose in life is help and serve others in the world. I want to make a difference in the lives of other by sharing my experiences in hopes that it will help them.

FWM: How many businesses do you have? And what are they?

One business; author. In the future [I will] help others write their first book.

FWM: What made you want to become an Entrepreneur?

I wanted to become an entrepreneur to have time, freedom and to encourage and inspire others.

FWM: What has been your greatest challenge as an Entrepreneur?

My challenge with becoming an entrepreneur is working a regular job while building my business as an author.

FWM: Tell us something no one knows you like?? (Something funny and exciting)

I love to sing Beyoncé songs in the mirror.

FWM: What advise do you have for wives that want to become an Entrepreneur?

My advice to women would be to manage your time best as possible. Get a journal, planner, or use an app on your phone to help with managing time. Always keep family first and never lose sight of that. Second, never lose who you are as a woman and always believe in yourself, that you can do anything.

FWM: What direction do you feel that we as women in business can do to continue to trailblaze for the next generation of women in business?

As we build our businesses, we should remember to be a great example and mentor others when possible. Along the way I have had many mentors. Mentorship allows us to pour into others what has been poured into us. Giving back allows for more blessings to over take us and the people we mentor along the way.

FWM: What exciting project are you working on?

I am wrapping up my first book called “I Can Breathe Again”. This is a very personal piece of work as it is a piece of my heart. I share my experience with grief after losing my first two children after pregnancy. I hope to encourage and inspire many and that breakthroughs are able to come forth.

FWM: What final words do you want to share?

What I want to share with others, is that no matter what your facing in life, it is possible to get to the other side. The difficult times is what makes us grow those areas where we are weak. I want people to know that healing is possible. We as humans are our worst enemy when we are full of negative emotion and thoughts. Our mindset can either help us or destroy us.  It is when we change the way we think and feel when serious breakthroughs and real testimonies can shine through. Always believe that you can achieve anything and the only limits there are, are the limits you put on yourself.
