FMW: Who is LaTasha and what is her Superpower?
My name is LaTasha Moseley and I am a Mother of two, and my husband Rodney Moseley and I are the Owners and Founders of Sweet Confections by LaTasha, LLC. I currently reside in Watertown, New York, but I am from the Augusta/Martinez, Georgia area. I have a home-based baking business located in Watertown, New York. My superpower is baking, making, and creating delectable desserts that are appealing to your eyes and to your tastebuds.
I love what I do and you can tell it in each and every bite that you take. Here is a list of some of the items that I make: Cinnamon Rolls, Cupcakes, Muffins, Pies, Bundt Cakes, Cookies, Scones, Homemade Breads, Milk Bread Rolls, Banana Pudding, Coconut Macaroons, and Pound Cakes.
FWM: How can women who want to do what you do gain access and support?
Women can gain access and support by reaching out to other Bakers and Bakery Owners. They can also contact the Small Business Administration and they can help guide them with registering their business, writing a business plan, and discussing start up plans and expenses, and ways to obtain funding for their business.
FWM: You’re a Serious Boss! Tell us what is next for you?
I had a Brick and Mortar located on Ft . Drum Military Installation for almost 2 years but I decided to close it in Nov 2019. Right now I am hoping to open up another Brick and Mortar one day in the future. I would also love to one day see my products in grocery stores, restaurants, and in other business locations. The very last thing would be to be able to ship my products statewide so people in other places will be able to taste my delectable desserts.
