FWM POWER 20: Naomi Glay

Formidable Woman Magazine’s “POWER 20” Online Magazine spotlights 20 accomplished women making extraordinary strides in their industries. These women inspire the next woman to be bold, to unapologetic, to be great!

FWM: Who is Naomi and what is your superpower?

Naomi is a woman of God. She is resilient and of Liberian heritage.
Naomi enjoys traveling and experiencing new things for the first time.  My superpower would be the ability to influence a generation. I believe I plant seeds in people. My superpower is comparable to blowing on a dandelion head the seeds are simply blown with the wind and land and grow in all kinds of places.

FWM: How can women who want to do what you do gain access and support?

People can reach me on my social media handles Instagram @naominucia/ @powertalk_ or my website powertalkonline.org.

…We’re already equipped with everything necessary for us to succeed in life…

FWM: You’re a serious BOSS! Tell us, what are you working on and what’s next for you?

I am currently planning the 4th annual Powertalk for next summer. I am looking to ensure that this PowerTalk will be bigger than ever. I am looking to do several projects to impact the community. I am also looking to expand on the Powertalk Merchandise that includes unique shirts, mugs, and PowerTalk boxes.

About Miss International Liberia/Miss International Africa

Naomi Glay won the title of Miss International Liberia in August 2019.
In November 2019, she competed in the 59th annual Miss International
Beauty Pageant in Toyko, Japan. She went on to win the continental title of
Miss International Africa 2019-2020 at this pageant.

Born in the USA of Liberian heritage, the Atlanta resident previously
served as Miss Liberia USA 2018-2019. Currently working as a model, She
has been featured on Front page Africa, Sheen Magazine, The Atlanta
Journal Constitution, and many more. She has allowed her personal trauma to help fuel her to become the voice for the voiceless and give hope to the hopeless. She created and produced the 2nd annual PowerTalk to advocate for men, women and children who have been victimized by sexual abuse as she is a survivor of sexual abuse.

The PowerTalk panel is an open and transparent discussion about the uncomfortable topic sexual abuse. Glay believes we’re already equipped with everything necessary for us to succeed in life and that each person has something profound and natural to offer the world, especially as it pertains to life’s reality.”
