FWM: Tell us about E.G.O. Entertainment Network.

E.G.O. Entertainment is a multi-division multimedia company that consists of Radio, Magazine, TV, Promotion, and Event services. This company not only provides music, talk shows, and other entertainment with the highest levels of listener satisfaction in mind when it comes to radio, but also provides support, advertising, and other opportunities to help grow businesses and brands all over the world. E.G.O. stands for Empowered Greatness Optimized.

It is known for its stellar service in providing pre-event promotional interviews, red carpet, meet & greet, other event coordination services, and media coverage. The company has covered and interviewed some of the nation’s largest events and celebrities that include but are not limited to, Sheryl Underwood, Marvin Sapp, Michael Colyar, The Oscars, Claudia Jordan, Brian White, Patty Spitler, Mr. Talkbox, and many more. The company has coordinated red carpet events for brands like DP Demarco Plays and the Gospel Choice Music Awards. It has had the honor of providing these services to community events as well, as its motto is “Everyone is a Star!” It seeks to continue to be a platform that builds relationships with other brands and individuals that strengthen its ability to provide access to spaces and resources most individuals only dream of to help build communities, brands, and spread messages everywhere.

FMW: What trends are you seeing in entertainment?

Some of the things I have noticed in entertainment is the excitement that the different industries are having with being able to get back to booking in-person events and activities, some music artists are having to put out content back to back just to stay relevant or number one in the game, pricing for licensing for companies like mine are being raised and terms are being altered, and upcoming artists and independent artists are not taking advantage of all opportunities afforded to them due to a bit of grandiose demeanor (some platforms are too small for them in their eyes). Those who are involved in the planning division of the entertainment industry, which includes event planners, PR, managers, etc. are also seeing a surge in talent across the board with respect to speakers, music artists, influencers, etc. due to people reinventing themselves during Covid, but a lot of these people don’t have the funds to retain these services as costs have increased there as well.

Also, I am seeing more and more different types of content in regard to podcasts, radio shows, and more. Syndication is a big thing right now for hosts and producers to garner more listeners and followers and that is a service we provide through JQLM RADIO, our radio station. Those are just a few.

FWM: You are a “BounceBackologist.” Explain.

A BounceBackologist is a word I created to describe my ability to take what I have learned about bouncing back from seemingly impossible circumstances through experience and teach someone else how to do it. The definition is someone who has mastered the art of bouncing back from adversity or trauma repeatedly, becoming stronger each time. Because I have been literally bouncing back from trauma and hardship my entire life, I definitely am a Master BounceBackologist. No individual that has gone through what I have and continue to should be sane or be able to live to tell about it. I had a few people say, “Lady J you have been through an unbelievable amount of things in your life that would break anyone and kill them but you keep bouncing back. You are the BounceBack Queen.” That is what BounceBackology is all about. If you knew the details of my story, it’s so ridiculous that you wouldn’t belive it, especiall to look at me and hear it.

FWM: Tell us about the event.

BounceBackology LLC is hosting the event and E.G.O. The event is designed for people to be able to come together to not only rejuvenate mentally, emotionally, and socially, through a fun interactive experience and celebration, but to also address real, raw issues that negatively impact our families, friends, and communities…. you know…those taboo things too, and offers the opportunity to learn from the lessons and experiences of others. The event features brunch, raffles, vendors, music, interactive panel discussion, networking mixer, BounceBackology performance and presentation, Re-Up Power Circles, an award ceremony, red-carpet All-White Afterparty, and more. We will recognize the Nonprofit of the Year Award and Lifetime Achievement Award. Other categories include the For-Profit Re-UP of the Year AwardBounceBackologist of the Year Award, and Trailblazer of the Year Award. All nominees are then added to the website in the nominee section, advertising of the nominees go out and interviews are held prior to the event. The individual that wins name goes into a sealed envelope for the award presenter and will be announced the day of the event. When nominating someone, you can only nominate one person at a time as a nomination application must be filled out per nominee. The application can be found here https://www.reupexperience.com/nominees-recipients.

FWM: How excited are you for the Re-Up Power Circles, an award ceremony, and red-carpet All-White Afterparty?

Oh I am very excited! I cannot wait to see people being heard, encouraged, empowered, entertained, and making new connections personally and professionally to continue growing personally and professionally after all that we have all endured and the battles we will continue to face as we climb new levels. What other way to celebrate ourselves and each other in our accomplishments to then release with an after-party! Tickets can be purchased on our site at https://www.reupexperience.com/events/the-re-up-experience-1 but tickets don’t go on sale until May 1st.

FWM: Tell us about the “Trailblazer of the Year” and how your nominees have been chosen.

Our trailblazer this year is BMB Records Founder/CEO, Brian Maurice Brown. He was America’s Most Wanted Kingpin turned Grammy Nominee. His life story is a perfect example of bounding back to Re-Up and win! The Trailblazer and Lifetime Achievement awards are hand-picked by the team while other categories are nominated by the public.

FWM: Why is this event so special to you?

It’s special to me because I use my personal experiences in combination with my education to help others bounce back personally and professionally as I have. I think it is important to know we are not alone, can connect with someone who can identify with what we are or have experienced, can meet us where we are, and share some practical tips and tools to help us bounce back and/or continue to grow.

I know what it’s like to have to start over numerous times personally and professionally. I know how hard it can be when you just want to throw in the towel and give up because it seems that you will never reach your goal. From molestation, domestic violence, rape, abandonment, divorce, homelessness, multiple suicide attempts, addiction, depression, near-fatal brain aneurysm, being a single mother of four children with one child being a special needs child, having to shut companies down temporarily due to my health, and much more….it is imperative for me to use my gifts, talents, resources, and experience to be a light to others as I continue to allow my life to be the example of what is possible when you never give up and keep that resilience on repeat. People can visit ladyj.co to learn more about me and to connect with me. My social media is accessible through my website.

FWM: As a Business Coach, “It is my purpose in life to commit myself to making a difference in the lives of others by giving of my time, resources, and talents to help anyone in need while sharing my story and tools to succeed. What can people expect when working with you?

People can expect a transparent, honest, knowledgable, thorough coach that will challenge them, educate them, support them, walk through step by step with them, and equip them with whatever is needed in order for them to start, fix, or grow their idea or organization to be successful at reaching their goal.
