Lillie Mae Is Glambitious!

Glambitious! Empowerment Brand is the brain child of the inspiring, extremely brilliant and business savvy Lillie Mae. From humble beginnings in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Lillie Mae has gone on to become one of the most prolific #Girlbosses of the 21st Century. With Lillie Mae PR Company under her belt she has gone on to inspire women worldwide to overcome obstacles, slay giants and become the women of purpose they are born to be. It was my pleasure to interview this extraordinary Alpha female for our inaugural issue.

FW: On behalf of Formidable Woman Magazine, I am so honored to interview you. Tell us a little about yourself?

LM: I am an Author, Speaker, Creative Business Strategist and CEO of the Glambitious Brand – which inspires women to achieve personal, professional and spiritual fulfillment through books, masterclasses, innovative events and the Instagram platform @GlambitiousIAM.  My online hub www.TheGlamCEO.com offers exposure opportunities, business services, and a unique resell program that helps women become business owners overnight. In addition, I’m currently producing the Glambitious Atlanta Conference and two All White Brunch events that will be hosted in New Orleans during Essence Festival.

FW:  I LOVE the name “Glambitious!” I feel it is the perfect personification of women entrepreneurs.  Please tell us about your first entrepreneurial endeavor.

LM:  My first entrepreneurial endeavor was an Atlanta-based print magazine for independent artists called SIR Magazine.  Through this effort, I was afforded the opportunity to cover the MTV VMA’s in NYC, the BET Awards in Los Angeles and the SoulTrain Awards! In addition, I was able to interview some of my favorite celebrities including Wendy Williams and Russell Simmons.  Owning a magazine taught me a number of the creative skills that I now utilize through the Glambitious Platform.

FW: Being a strong, independent, alpha female, have you found it difficult working in the mostly male-dominated business world?

LM:  Fortunately, I have not found it to be difficult and many of my male clients or colleagues have been some of my biggest supporters.

FW:  How has being an alpha female affected your business and/or personal relationships with other women?

LM:  Being an Alpha female has been an asset in my business because it allows me to command respect as a professional and be very firm with business decisions.  Personally, I feel that my Alpha female nature has inspired the women in my circle to also embrace a spirit of strength and confidence, as it relates to their own passions and pursuits.
