STYLING YOUR WINTER LIVING ROOM OUTFITS

THRILL IN THE SIMPLEST THINGS

No matter if I’m creating a collection or a branding strategy, I gravitate towards the tried and true. That’s the same with clothes, we go for what we know is going to work. I get it. You keep it simple and you know what you like.

But, there is a problem with this concept. You see, if you only stick to what you like you miss out on everything else the world has to offer.

This year has been anything but normal or simple. So let’s go out with a bang!

One way I live and dress with a bang is being grateful for the day and living in the thrill of possibilities. When you take a step outside of the tried and true, you experience life’s little joys.

Be grateful in your approach to life, fashion, relationships too. It’s this simple thing that I have seen countless times make the biggest impact.

The “Perfect Winter Living Room Outfit” is all about embracing and celebrating you. This small gratitude gesture to yourself will make any outfit perfect.

WHO IS THIS FOR

This is for the woman that is always wearing clothes you can’t find anywhere. She always looks put together and you will always catch her looking her best.

This is also for the woman that wants to step up her dress game. She is always casual at gatherings but this year she still wants to kick it up a notch.

I say all of that to say, it’s for you.

This holiday season go for the relaxed but tailored look. Explore the mix of fabrics and pair tailored pieces with casual pieces.

CHOOSING YOUR PERFECT LIVING ROOM OUTFIT

Choosing what to wear can be either fun or a daunting task. Regardless of which, you can create the perfect living room outfit with old or new items.

I want you to use this article (and series) to find new items and see old clothes in a new light.

If you are not sure where to start, I suggest choosing a look that is closest to what you already own.

Although all of the looks are not included the rules and strategies are the same. You should be able to find similar pieces in your closet or in stores now.

If you are small on top use bright colors and bulker fabrics to create a proportionate shape. If you are heavier on top, use volume on the bottom to create drama

Find the smallest part of your waist and use the tuck “tucked shirt” method to create a slimming waist.

Your skirts should hit at a length that doesn’t make your legs look short. The right shoe can also help you look taller.

Going too short or long with your shorts and skirts can make you look shorter or worse unconfortable. Opt for above knee to mid thigh length.

Bootcut, straight leg, and wide leg pants help you look lean without the hassle of looking like you have chicken legs

MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU

Part 1 I showed you separates that can be paired. While in Part 2 we talked about dresses for every shape and accessories fit for any occasion.

My goal was to give you options, and I believe we can check it off the list. You should have at least one look or style you can create or purchase from this series.

Remember, the most important part to any great look is confidence and attitude.

Happy holidays beautiful boss!
